Daily Question:
What is the first book you're going to read in 2015?
Me: Blood of Olympus.

'The Mortal Instruments'- fan fic part 2

Clary looked at the clock.  It was seven-thirty and Jace still hadn't come back from his mango shopping.  It had been two hours since she had called him.  he needed to be back so they could make the chutney to serve at the wedding.  She tried calling him again, but there was no answer.  Just when she was about to try calling him again, Jace texted her, saying hi on my way back, sry im late, had 2 pick up alec's tux.  Clary let out a sigh of relief. Jace was fine.  She was supposed to leave the apartment in an hour to get ready and put on her dress.  Her mother, Jocelyn, was going to pick her up and take her to the farmhouse.  She decided to make sure she packed everything for the honeymoon while waiting for Jace.  They were going to Alicante for a few weeks and Clary was really excited.  If anything, she packed too much.  Usually Clary didn't worry so much, something she got used to, being a Shadowhunter, but marrying Jace was a whole different story.  Her nerves were constantly dancing the salsa.

Jace came home soon after he texted.  He had a large bag full of mangos and another bag with other ingredients.  He set them down on the kitchen counter and went to Clary, who was in the living room, to plant a kiss on her cheek.

"So, are we ready to cook?" he asked.
"I guess so," Clary replied.
"Izzy wanted to come help us."
"Oh no, the wedding is RUINED."
"I told her no, don't worry.  The last thing we need is bad mango chutney."
"Okay, okay, let's get started."

Making a dip was harder than Clary thought it would be.  In the end it tasted good though.  At least that was one problem solved.  Hopefully the rain would stop...

"CLARY!!" It was her mom Jocelyn.  Clary looked out her window to see her in Luke's truck shouting for her to get in.  Clary realized that she was half an hour late for the carpool with her mom to go to the farmhouse.  She was about to rush out when Jace spoke:
"Leaving without a good bye... and in your pajamas?"
"Sorry, sorry.  Next time I see you, I'll be in my wedding dress!"
"I can't wait, don't forget I love you."
"I love you too, Jace."

Clary ran down the stairs of the building and jumped into the truck.  She slammed the door shut as her mother already started to drive off.  They were silent for a while until Jocelyn gave her a wide smile.  Once again, Clary was struck at how beautiful her mother was.  She and Clary had the same physical features, like their bright red hair, but they still looked very different from the other.

"I thought you'd be angry at me," Clary pointed out, confused.
"Why?" Jocelyn wondered.
"I'm super late."
"It's your wedding day, how could I be mad?  Besides, I understand that your morning was rushed."
"Thanks, so, what are we doing first?"
"We're going to the farmhouse to check out all the decorations and then we'll get you dressed."
"But it's RAINING.  How are we suppose to have a reception outside?"
"It'll blow over.  If not, we'll have it inside."
"That's what Jace said."
"Well, you should trust him, especially since you're marrying him."
"How are you not freaking out about everything?" Clary demanded.
"I'm not the bride."

Wedding Day

The day had finally come.  After years of waiting, it was finally their wedding day.  Clary Fray had been wanting a proposal from Jace Herondale for years before he finally popped the question.  It was probably the best proposal he could have ever given, the ring was in a mango Jace cut open.  Clary laughed for five minutes before telling him yes.  The wedding was planned for seven months later, but there was demon trouble so it was postponed to three months after.  The date had to be changed again due to a misunderstanding with the vampires.  Two months after that, the day had finally come.  And nothing could stop the wedding now.  Hopefully.

Clary woke up at five.  Jace had already gotten up to visit Maia Roberts' werewolf pack.  It was still dark outside, but she could faintly see the rain pouring.  She stared out of the foggy window, thinking about the wedding that day, before realizing that the reception was outside.  Her tired mind took a while to process the news.  She rushed to her laptop and searched the weather for the day.  It said  boldly '60% rain all day' as if to mock her.  The reception that she and her mother had planned for so long was going to be ruined.  There was only going to be one small tent for the food and drinks, but everything else was outside.  Calm down, Clary reminded herself, we can move it inside somewhere.  It wasn't a sure thing that it was going to rain the whole day.  She decided to call Jace and talk to him.  It always calmed her down.  She dialed his number into her phone and impatiently waited for him to answer.

"Clary?" Jace said from the werewolf pack's police station.  Clary could hear people talking and laughing.
"Jace!  Thank the angel!  We have an emergency!!" she exclaimed.
"Are you okay??  Should I come home?"
"No, I can tell you now, it's raining!"
"Umm... I noticed.  Thank the goddess it's not a real emergency.  You're just nervous."
"It might rain during the wedding reception!!"
"Don't worry, we'll just move it inside the farmhouse." The reception was going to be in the farmhouse that Clary had spent so much of her childhood in.
"Okay, okay.  How's Maia?"
"She's good.  But we do have a slight problem."
"WHAT HAPPENED JACE??"
"The werewolves forgot the mangos for the mango chutney."
"WE CANNOT HAVE A WEDDING WITHOUT MANGO CHUTNEY!"
"I know, that's why I'm on my way to the supermarket to get the ingredients."
"Good.  See you soon."
"Yes, love you," Jace said before he hung up.

'Fangirl'- book review

'FANGIRL' BY RAINBOW ROWELL
The following review is my opinion about the book.
I give it a 4.75/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨
I loved it! I was addicted to it, I read it in three days!

Basically, it is about a girl named Cath who is a freshman in college. She has a twin sister, Wren, who was always her best friend but doesn't want to be her roommate to meet new people, and slowly they drift apart. Meanwhile, Cath tries to balance homework, her popular fan fiction about her favorite book series called 'Simon Snow', her family, and a guy.
I couldn't put down the book, it was AMAZING!!
The only thing I would want to change about it is that a couple parts were a little dragging.

It was written really well and there were so many good moments. I definitely recommend it to teenagers and young adults who like stories set in modern time about normal people's experiences.
